Franklin Middle School Supply List 2023-2024

All Franklin MS students will receive their FCPS-provided laptop during the first week of school.

The following is a suggested basic school supply list for 7th and 8th grade students:

• Pencils (1 pack)
• Pens: Blue, Black and Red ball point pens
• Highlighters (1 pack)
• Colored Pencils (12 pack)
• Pencil sharpener, small (1)
• Post-It Notes, 3x3 (2 packs)
• Ruler with English and metric measurements (1)
• Scissors (1)
• Composition Book (1)
• Spiral Notebooks (2)
• Facial Tissue (1 box)
• Hand Sanitizer (1)
• Loose leaf paper, lined (1 pack)
• Graph paper (1 pack)
• Earbuds, not wireless (1 set)

 

Calculators:  Students in all math courses will access the online Desmos.com calculator throughout the school year. This online calculator meets the needs for all math courses offered at Franklin MS. For students taking Algebra 1, Geometry, or Algebra II, the purchase of a handheld calculator is strictly optional. The recommended model is the Texas Instruments TI-84+ graphing calculator.

Geometry Honors: Students will need a compass and protractor.

Additional Supply Requirements: Individual teachers may have additional supply requirements. Each teacher will share their supply requirements at the beginning of the school year.

Electives Courses: Certain elective courses do have fees for consumable items. We will send information at a later date with details about these fees and arrangements for pick up of these items.
