Academic Advising Information from the Franklin Middle School Student Services Office

Franklin Families and Students,

Although it is only January, we have reached the time where we begin looking ahead to the next school year. During the next several weeks, our Franklin students will begin working with their families and our counselors to select classes for next year. This is intended to be a collaborative process and we encourage you to reach out to a member of our Student Services team at any time during the process.

Our Student Services Department will be sharing an Academic Advising Google Site in the coming weeks that has information on available courses. It will include video overviews of core classes, descriptions of electives choices from teachers and current students, graduation requirements, and Honors/AP course expectations.

This year, more than ever, family involvement is essential to promote academic growth and balance for our students. We encourage you to actively participate in the course selection process with your students.

Franklin Middle School students will receive instructions from their counselors about deadlines for course selection for the 2021-22 school year. For additional information, please visit the Online Course Catalog or feel free to reach out to your student’s counselor.

Thank you for your support during this important process for our students.
