Author Ben Mikaelson spoke with all 7th and 8th-grade students on April 26, 2018.  Ben shared his life story from being an immigrant and moving to this country, to bullying and academic struggles, to the funny stories of his bear Buffy.  His message of following your dreams, being true to yourself and being kind to others was powerful and engaging for our students to hear.  He then spent the afternoon working with smaller groups in a writers' workshop and signing books for interested students.  He ended his day with us by staying for the Parent-Teen Book Club last night.  Thank you to Mrs. Karen Radcliffe, Gail Dryer and Sheri Ruffle for all their hard work in putting this event together.
