Award winning author Priscilla Cummings visited Franklin MS Today, April 18, 2017.  All students in 7th grade read Ms. Cummings book, The Red Kayak.  Students in both grades attended the assembly to hear Ms. Cummings discuss her life, her books and her process of how she turns the spark of a good idea into an entire novel weaving in information about plot, characterization, and theme.
