Rising 9th Grade Course Selection

9th Grade Franklin Students for the School Year 2025-2026

Rising 9th grade course selection happens in coordination with your child’s high school and their current Franklin MS counselor. In addition to hearing directly from Chantilly and Oakton Counselors on January 7th, students will also engage in course planning through Advisory lessons, before meeting 1:1 with their counselor to finalize course selections. Families are encouraged attend the Curriculum Night event to learn more about the process and explore course options.

Students receiving services through Special Education or Multilingual Services will complete initial course selections with their counselor and will be placed in classes in SIS that align with their current services, pending additional meetings and information gathered in the Spring.
