After School Program

After-School Program Registration

Registration and Cost

Registration for the After-School Program is completed by parents as part of the beginning of the year paperwork. In order to participate in any after-school clubs and activities, all students must be registered for the program. Students arriving mid-year will complete the registration with their paperwork during course registration.  If you have not completed the After-School Program Registration form yet, please click here for the  After-School Registration Form.

The After-School Program provides an environment where creativity, enrichment, and inspiration thrive. Here students challenge themselves and work outside their comfort zone to reach their full potential. Students become explorers, scientists, leaders, athletes, and volunteers in the community. Within a structure unique to each school, every program promotes social engagement, quality connections, persistence, and resiliency.

  • All FCPS rules and regulations apply during the after-school program.
  • We always welcome new clubs and ideas. If your child is interested in starting a club, they need to see Mr.Tippins during their lunch or Falcon Time.

Program & Club Sign Ups

The After-School Program will have a variety of activities each week for students to explore. The program will run 5 days a week. Academic Support is offered by appointment with students' teachers.  Students should make arrangements to stay for Academic Support if they need additional help.  Students are encouraged to maintain a balance between their instructional studies, after-school activities, and other outside interests. All clubs are open to all students regardless of sex, race, or ability. Most clubs are open enrollment; however, some clubs will have membership requirements. Students are able to select and attend clubs based on their interests and are allowed to attend different clubs each week.

After-School Program Schoology Course

Using their Fairfax County Public Schools Schoology Account, Franklin students have access to the Student/Staff Schoology course. This course includes program details such as: club descriptions, the club schedule, important updates/announcements (including schedule changes),  new club proposal form, and independent activities. All students have access to the After-School Schoology Course.  Please encourage your child to explore this course to learn more about the after-school program. Parents can also check the Franklin Families Schoology Course for more information on the After-School Program.

The After-School Program will not meet on student holidays, early release days, or during inclement
weather cancellations.

In addition, there will be no after-school activities or buses on the following dates:

  •  There will be no After-School Program on Early Release Days.
  • Any other cancellations of the After-School Program will be communicated to students and parents.
