On Saturday December 8, 2023, Franklin’s very own Robotics Team competed in the Annual Mark Twain Middle School Area VEX Robotics Scrimmage in Alexandria, Virginia. Team co-drivers, Hayden T. and Kaichen L. won First Place in the competition. Team Franklin Advisor, and Sponsor of ‘Robo Mondays’, Mr. Adams says, it was Kaichen’s and Hayden’s persistent practice, planning and communication that helped them win not only First Place overall, but also First Place in the Drivers Skills Challenge, earning nearly double the points of other teams. 

The team also won the “Amaze” Award for the ‘… the team that has built the most consistently high scoring and competitive robot.’ The Robotics club meets every Monday after school.
